Mapping Infrastructure

Knowing location of infrastructure is important for communities.

Imagine that a natural disaster occurs in your community.  Knowing where fire hydrants, manholes, water shut off valves, lift stations, streetlight poles, and gas shut off valves may be crucial.  This information is also important to know in the event of unforeseen staff turnover.

Boonslick Regional Planning Commission can assist your community in mapping infrastructure.  Collection points are gathered for each item, with accuracy being less than 12 inches.  The points are then used by BRPC staff to create an infrastructure map for your community.

BRPC has helped several member communities map infrastructure including items listed, as well as the location of culverts.  If you are interested in such a project, please contact BRPC Project Coordinator Chuck Eichmeyer at chucke@boonslick.org or (636) 456-3473.
