MoDOT Announces Proposed District Boundary Changes
On Wednesday, May 4, 2011 the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission unveiled a plan to drastically reduce MoDOT’s operating costs. The plan, when fully implemented, will enable MoDOT to invest an additional $500 million in highways and bridges over the next 5 years.

Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer visits BRPC
Congress Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) met with BRPC Executive Director on Friday, April 29, 2011 to discuss regional issues. The key federal legislative issues that BRPC is concerened about include:
Reauthorization of the federal highway bill;
Reauthorization of the Workforce Investment Act;
Funding for community infrastructure projects, including CDBG and EDA; and
Reauthorization and funding for the Economic Development Administration (EDA)

Senator Claire McCaskill visits Warrenton
Senator Clair McCaskill visited Warrenton, Missouri on Monday, April 18, 2011 to visit with students, educators and school board members regarding the role of the federal government in education.
Prior to the meeting, BRPC Executive Directors, Steve Etcher, was able to visit with Senator McCaskill on the reauthorization of the Workforce Investment Act.
